PRO-DIGIT responded to a key lesson from the Covid-19 pandemic: distance learning and homeschooling do not succeed through technical infrastructure alone, but above all through teachers' and learners' readiness and ability to use digital technologies confidently in healthcare vocational education – a concern also underlined by the European Skills Agenda and the EU education ministers' Osnabrück Declaration. Together with partners from several European education systems, the project developed three practice-oriented educational products: an interactive, dialogue-based application offering individual recommendations, a training module to increase readiness for digital teaching, and a blended-learning course with curriculum, workshop guide and hands-on application. The aim was to build a bridge from existing content and recommendations to active use in vocational schools – tested and documented directly with teachers, trainers and learners at partner institutions.
