Networking

Resilient international networks are among the key prerequisites for successful European project work. ThAEP has a network built up over many years of vocational and higher education institutions, companies, municipalities, public institutions, regional development organisations, and social and healthcare institutions in numerous European countries.

Grown out of shared project work

Many of these relationships have grown out of years of jointly developing and delivering Erasmus+, Interreg and other European projects. As a result, ThAEP has not only contacts with individual organisations, but proven cooperation structures and personal contacts across various European regions.

We maintain particularly intensive, long-standing cooperation with partners in:

  • Austria, especially with partners in Vienna
  • Bulgaria, especially with partners in Sofia
  • Czech Republic, especially with partners in Ostrava
  • Estonia, especially with partners in Tallinn
  • Greece, especially with partners in Athens
  • Italy, especially in Emilia-Romagna, Verona
  • Poland, especially in the Lesser Poland, Greater Poland and Subcarpathian voivodeships
  • Slovakia, especially with partners in Bratislava
  • Slovenia, especially in Ljubljana and Nova Gorica

As well as further European regions connected to ThAEP through Erasmus+, Interreg and other EU cooperation programmes.

Strategic cooperation with Ukraine

Our long-standing cooperation with Ukraine holds particular importance within our international network. ThAEP has established contacts there with vocational and higher education institutions, regional authorities, public institutions and companies — an important basis for joint activities in vocational education, Erasmus+ mobility, securing skilled workers, European project development and economic cooperation.

Networks as a strategic resource

We see our European and international networks not as an end in themselves, but as a strategic resource for developing new EU projects. They allow ThAEP to bring together suitable partners, build international consortia, jointly develop project ideas, and open up access to European partnerships for Thuringian companies, municipalities and institutions.

In doing so, ThAEP acts as a bridge between Thuringia and European partner regions, helping to bring European experience and innovation to Thuringia while making Thuringian expertise visible at European level.
